Efficient Generalized Signcryption Based on Ecc

In order to obtain promising wireless communication systems, it is necessary to maintain secure message transmissions in unicast, multicast, or broadcast scenarios. The cryptographic primitives can be incorporated when a node needs to submit messages to different receivers as encrypted and/or authenticated one-way messages. For achieving the given objective, signcryption schemes are efficient primitives. In this paper, we first show some serious weaknesses of a previous proposed pairing-free signcryption scheme. Then, we correct the scheme and extend it to a signcryption scheme with multiple users instead of the proposed tripartite topology. The obtained signcryption scheme is further extended to a generalized signcryption scheme. All schemes consist of elliptic curve operations and satisfy also forward secrecy and public verification. To illustrate the usefulness of the generalized signcryption scheme, we show its application in the context of key management for wireless sensor networks.
